Newport Street Gallery presents a solo exhibition of early works by Damien Hirst. Titled ‘End of a Century’, the exhibition features over fifty artworks – many previously undisplayed – spanning Hirst’s formative years as a student in the 1980s to becoming one of Britain’s leading contemporary artists in the 1990s.

The exhibition surveys some of Hirst’s most iconic series, from his Spot and Spin paintings to his formaldehydes and vitrines (including his 1990 installation A Hundred Years). Together these works chart the emergence of some of Hirst’s most famous themes: science, religion, life and death.
