The second exhibition of Hirst’s installation ‘Pharmacy’ (1992) altered the original by enclosing the Insect-O-Cutor within a steel and glass vitrine containing rats.

Some Went Mad, Some Ran Away
In the first show he curated for a publicly funded space, Hirst presented the group exhibition ‘Some Went Mad, Some Ran Away’ at the Serpentine Gallery in 1994. The following year he was awarded the Turner Prize, in part for his curatorship of this show, in which he also exhibited.
