Context

This work acts as a sequel to the earlier ‘Mental Escapology’ work ‘Loving in a World of Desire’ (1996). ‘The Battle Between Good and Evil’ uses a similar geometric base to the earlier piece but instead employs only black and white.  The colourful beach ball in ‘Loving in a World of Desire’, held aloft by an air stream omitted from the base, is replaced in this later work by two balls, one black and one white, which intermittently collide.
