In 2011 Hirst collaborated with Flea, bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to produce a series of unique bass guitars. The guitars each have an individual black-and-white or coloured spin design, and proceeds from their sale go to Silverlake Conservatory of Music.

Using the technique employed in his famous spin painting series, Hirst applied household gloss to the body of each guitar, which is available in three colourways. Signed by Hirst and Flea profits from the sale of the guitars of The Silverlake Conservatory of Music, an organisation offering music tuition to those unable to afford it.
