Context

‘In His Infinite Wisdom’ was first shown at Tate Britain’s three-person show ‘In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida’ in 2004, in which Hirst collaborated with Angus Fairhurst and Sarah Lucas. This work from Hirst’s ‘Natural History’ series consists of a calf born deformed with six legs and then preserved in a steel and glass tank filled with formaldehyde solution.
