The exhibition features 17 artists whose work evokes, expresses and unveils emotions dealing with technology as a subject or a tool. The show focuses on the one hand on how emotions and technology can come together, and on the other hand on the underlying tensions between within them.
Established in February 2011, the Collection Platform exhibitions feature leading contemporary artists alongside little known figures, from Ukraine and worldwide. Two of Hirst's more recent paintings in which the artist returned to the traditional medium of oil on canvas are included, as well as ‘Resurrection’ (1998-2003) – a unique sculpture featuring a skeleton bisected by two glass panels, in the position of the crucifixion.
Other featured artists are: Sergiy Bratkov, Ilya Chichkan, Gregory Crewdson, Olafur Eliasson, Andreas Gursky, Carsten Höller, Martin Kobe, Jeff Koons, Oleg Kulik, Julie Mehretu, Richard Prince, Marc Quinn, Thomas Ruff, Jürgen Teller, Xavier Veilhan and Carsten Nicolai.
